Although the concept of sustainable development was promoted in the 1980’s, there are still unsustainable
trends in the fields: climate changes, transport, health, poverty.
Revised EU strategies are emphasizing 7 main goals:

- climate changes and clean energies
- sustainable transport
- sustainable consumption and production
- protection and managing the natural resources
- public health
- social inclusion, demography, migrations
- global poverty and challenges of sustainable development

The main theme of the conference is the role of education and whether is it included in all the 7 goals?
