Virtual Reality Design Methods Lab – VRDML (Frank van der Hoeven)

Virtual Reality Design Methods Lab (VRDML) hosted by TU Delft addressing the use of virtual reality in the process of designing, modifying, and re-using new and existing buildings, public spaces, city districts and landscapes: Virtual Reality (VR) as a design, planning and/or research method.


Dr.ir. Frank van der Hoeven
is Director of Research of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment and associate professor Urban Design at TU Delft. He is responsible for the development of the research portfolio of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft, the policy on open access publishing, and for the position of built environment in the Dutch creative industry. He conducted his PhD research in the field of underground space technology and multifunctional and intensive land-use. Topics that he is involved in are: urban underground space, multi-functional land use, sustainable mobility, high-rise urban development, greenhouse horticulture, climate change, urban heat islands, remote sensing. Board member of the Royal Netherlands Archaeological Society KNOB.
